I wear a wide gold ring on my finger
It is my most treasured possession
I had the word MINE engraved inside it
For my husband was my obsession
He loved that ring, showed it off
Was his nineteenth Anniversary gift
Took all that time to save for it
His eyes gave my heart a lift
He would ask me if I was still his
And I would answer in kind
Just look inside your ring
You will always be mine
Now, I wear that ring he loved
And it speaks to me of him
I read the inscription inside
Whenever I have the whim
He's still mine wherever he dwells
I am his for eternity
The ring is a lovely reminder
That's he's patiently waiting for me'
