“Forever Faithful is Our God”
“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love wherewith He loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ (by grace ye are saved)...” Ephesians 2:4-5
Scriptures Reading For This Week:1 Kings 3; Ezra; Psalm 103; Ephesians 2...
If there is one thing that I know for certain, it is that God is a faithful God. That, even when we are not faithful towards him, He remains faithful towards us; even to them that have turned away and have rejected His outstretched hands, and to those that reject His Son. God remains faithful. It is evident in the fact when He continues to breathe life into us each new day we arise.
I declare and decree that this week's Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement for your heart, mind, and soul. Whatever you may be facing today, this week, remember that God is faithful to bring you through. He is a promise keeper, and will not abandon you in your time of need. No matter what it feels like, or looks like!
I love the Lord with all my heart. I give Him thanks for being my Constant. He has never lied to me, forsaken me, or let me down. Even if my mind thought otherwise because of the many tests and trials; my heart knew and understood that my God is faithful and will see me through. He is forever faithful.
There are times in our lives when we are under so much pressure. It is as though we are being hit and crushed on every side. And it doesn't help to have the enemy whispering in our ears lies about the Father and His promises to us. The enemy loves to hit us when we're vulnerable. He is a dirty fighter. The kind that kicks you when you're down. The kind that would kick dirt in your eyes to blind you.
That's exactly what it's like, too; kicking dirt in your eyes to blind you. To, blind you to the truth of who God is and what God has said concerning you. I am the first to admit that it can be difficult to remember the promises of God when you seem to be in constant warfare. It is hard to keep your mind from entertaining the negative when you feel boxed in. Though it may be difficult, it is possible. We can remember the promises of God. We can keep them at the forefront. We have to learn how to open our mouths and speak what God has spoken concerning us. We have to learn how to properly dress each and everyday. Trust me; the enemy is not going to let up until he has exhausted all of his weaponry...and neither should we!
Ephesians 6:10-18 “10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.13 Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.14 Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;16 withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.”
It is vital for us to be dressed in the armor of God each and everyday. There must be no opening left for the enemy to get a foothold in. Many of us know and recognize that the first line of attack that the enemy often makes is our mind. We must make sure that we have totally surrendered unto God, and have taken on the mind of Christ. When we totally submit to God; when we have surrendered our all to the Father and have given Christ the reign over our hearts; we give Christ total access to every area in our lives; even our thoughts. Putting on the helmet of Salvation—the renewing of our minds daily—keeps us in the mind of Christ and not that of the flesh.
Then we must open our mouths and speak what God says concerning us. Speak the word of God. Too many times we are silent and let the devil run his mouth. We have to shut him up! Shut him up with the word of God! Speak it out daily. Speak it to yourself and the atmosphere.
Yes. God is forever faithful. That is why He has blessed us with His word. To follow, to study, to meditate on. To speak on. Some of us give up on God because we feel He has not answered our prayers, or that He has abandoned us,or that He rejected us. The truth of the matter is; God has been consistent since the beginning. It is we who need to walk in the fruit of patience, and learn to exercise our faith. Even when things look at there worst, God is still at His best. We just have to believe. Even when the circumstances or situations are dictating the worse. Believe. And if you are struggling to believe; then ask the Father to help your unbelief. God is faithful.
God spoke a word to me years ago. He answered my prayers, but not in the way or timing that I expected. Now, in the process of waiting (I am still waiting) things have occurred to make it seem impossible. In this time of waiting the enemy has been whispering; even circumstances were dictating the opposite of what God promised. Yet, I continue to hold on and believe that my God is faithful. I just went through something so harrowing and emotionally draining, that I knew only God could and would bring me through, and He did. But in the process, as the enemy was turning up the heat and his voice was getting louder, I dug in my heels and spoke the word of God! I decreed and declared what the Father has spoken over my life, and His promises to me. I held on, refusing to believe anything different, because I know my God is faithful. Well, after a long month of tests, God's word stands true, and His report hasn't change; I win and the devil loses again! Hallelujah! I will hold on to the promises of my God. For He is faithful. And when I receive what God has promised; my prayer comes to fruition; you, my dear friends will be one of the firsts to know and hear my testimony!
God is faithful! God is faithful! Forever is our God faithful! God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent. Hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good? (Numbers 23:19) Whatever God has spoken and decreed over your life, it will come to pass! And let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. (Galatians 6:9) Hold steadfast to what God has proclaimed over your life. Stand upon His word. Meditate on His word. Put your armor on each and everyday, and speak what God has spoken!
I decree that the spirit of peace and of prosperity shall find permanent rest in your life: spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and financially. Forever is our God faithful. Even when we are not, God stands with outstretched arms, waiting to receive us yet again into His fold where we belong. Do not be deceived by the whispers and taunts of the enemy. God will never leave you or forsake you. But waits patiently just for you! You are Blessed. Now go....and Be a Blessing!
