“Life's A Journey...”
“Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts; And in the hidden part thou wilt make me to know wisdom.” Psalm 51:6
Scripture Reading For This Week: Psalm 51; Nehemiah 10; 2 Chronicles 1; Job 12; 28; Colossians 3; 4; James 1; Revelations 2...
Each day we are granted the breath of life, we are gifted with extraordinary opportunities to live a life as such that is filled with greatness. New day, new opportunities; awaiting us to grab a hold of them and go forth.
Life is a journey. A journey that takes us through many hills, valleys, lighted paths, and dark paths. We encounter uncertainty, doubt, fear, as well as, joy, peace, and love. We experience the grace of God during this journey; even if we do not recognize it as such. Life is a journey meant to be traveled, and traveled well. And in order to do that, we must follow the instructions that God Himself has placed in our hands: His Word. It is our road-map.
I declare and decree that this week's Reflections will be a continued source of encouragement for your heart, mind, and soul. God has blessed you with a brand new day, filled with extraordinary opportunities, waiting for you to grab. Life is a journey meant to be traveled. And with the Father as your Guide, your destination can only be greatness.
I don't know about you, but sometimes I feel a bit lost on this journey. I feel turned around, scared, uncertain; as though I made a wrong turn somewhere. At times, feeling like I experience more valleys than mountaintops, and famine rather than harvests.
Things can be going well, then all of a sudden something unexpected takes place. Causing moments of confusion and uncertainty. Making you feel as though you have taken a wrong turn somewhere, or have misinterpreted the road-map.
However, even in those times of feeling like you made a wrong turn; you can always go back to the Source. You can always go to the Word of God; to His throne of grace and receive direction. If you are not certain which way to go, then just be still and wait. Wait on God to direct you and show you which way to go. Sometimes, the answer is as simple as turning around. Turn around and go the other way.
Life's journey can also make one feel lonely and abandoned; as though God is so very far away and has not heard your prayers or cries for deliverance or aid. Yet, in the deepest part of my heart where the word is hidden; I know that the Father has not abandoned me, and has in fact heard my prayers and answered. These occurrences; feelings and experiences are just part of the journey. For certain, knowing the word of God and having an intimate relationship with the Father helps us to understand the journey that we are on.
Whether one is saved or not; we are all on a journey. Based upon the choices we make, determines if that journey takes us to a life in Christ or to a life separated from our Savior. Our life journey is filled with choices; decisions that we must make. Those decisions will not only affect our journey, but the journey for others that are in our life, as well.
One of the things that I have learned in this journey, is that our lives do affect others. Our actions, decisions, or indecision has an impact on those around us. One life affects another, whether directly or indirectly. During our journey, we can make an impact for the better or for worse in someone else's journey. If we are in tuned with Holy Spirit, following His instructions, we can make a difference—for the better—in the lives of others. We just have to learn to follow and be consistent in the instructions that Father has given us.
Yes, we are not always going to make the right decisions on this journey. We will make mistakes, miss the mark, get turned around. Yet, God is there for us. In fact, He is with us every step of the way. Every day we have the opportunity to learn something new in our life's journey. We have the opportunity to receive all that God has ordained for us. But we must be diligent, truthful, and obedient.
Obedience is of utmost importance in this journey of life. We must submit all of our heart, mind and soul to the Father, and walk obediently in His will and word. Disobedience is like being a driver who is not sure where they are going, has a navigational system but refuses to use it. The navigational system is there to aid you. The choice is yours whether or not you are going to use it.
The same in our life's journey. The Father is there. He has given us His word as our road-map in this life. The choice is ours whether we use it or not. There are instructions that will lead us to our divine destination. Instructions on how to get out of a ditch. How to get up if we fall. How to turn around if we get lost. How to seek help if in need. What words to say to when we don't know what to say. How to live our lives with the blessings of God manifesting each day. How to be healed and delivered. How to be saved and set free. How to be prosperous. How to walk in God's favour each and everyday. How to increase our faith. How to use our weapons and when. How to love ourselves and one another.
Life's a journey filled with many turns, ups and downs, ins and outs. For those who believe and choose to receive, we have an all access pass to the instructions that will aid us in our journey, and get us safely to our destination. The decision is ours on where our journey leads us.
I decree that the spirit of peace and of prosperity has found permanent rest in your life: spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and financially. Life is a journey meant to be traveled well. Put on your armor, seek the will of God, walk in obedience, following His instructions. God has the best for you. His road-map leads to life not only abundantly, but eternally. You are Blessed. Now go...and Be a Blessing!
