Yes, I actually said that because... I’m dumb.
I have a template I use for my SatWE challenges and, each week, I open that template, add seven days to the last one and come up with...
Yep, I actually set up a challenge for February 30 because I wasn’t thinking. Um, that seems to happen a lot, but I finally recovered and realized this is the first Saturday of March.
That means we’re going to write about the month of March, any holidays in this month, or anything that happened to you in this month.
Â
This Week’s Challenge:
Use prose or poetry to write about the month of March, any holiday in the month, or anything that might have happened to you in this month. If you can match the stupidity that I displayed in the introduction, please include it. I’d hate to think I’m the only dumb person on Gather.
Â
Ideas:
My older daughter was born this month and I have a story about that. Hmm, that isn’t really an idea for you, is it? But, it might give you an idea about someone you know who was born this month.
Once again I’ll offer a link to one of those sites that lists weird holidays for the month of March. It lists many things that can supply some inspiration for a story.
Â
Watch Out For:
Whatever you write, make sure it has something to do with the month of March.
Â
Recap:
The following submissions are exactly what I was hoping to read because you did everything I asked of you. If you haven’t read these, I’d ask that you pay these writers the courtesy of looking at them.

Weekly reminder: Don't forget to recommend an article that you like (to learn why, read Ann Marcaida's article Attract More Writers and Artists to Gather!). Also, try to place a comment on at least one article and say more than you liked the piece. Tell the author what worked and what needs work.
Â
The Rules:
- Put this challenge statement at the beginning or end of your submission so readers will know what you’re supposed to do.

- There is a limit of three submissions from each member per day. If you’re extremely prolific, spread out your work and post only three submissions per day.
- Post to Gather Writing Essential.
- Tag your submission with SatWE.
- Include (Saturday Writing Essential) as part of your title.
- I ask that you make your submission(s) by next Friday afternoon.

I'm pretty sure all our snow will be gone by then.
You're already receiving responses to this great challenge.
Featured in February 30 in the Triple Name Club.
Him:"They are ordering pizza"
Me: "That sounds good."
Him: "I gave up pizza for Lent"
Me: "There will be other things to eat"
Him: They are also getting ribs"
Me: "See--ribs are good"
Him, shaking his head: "It's Friday, I can't eat meat".
Guess things don't change that much in three generations
Okay, we got that figured out. I'm not going to wash dishes or take a shower during Lent. Uh, how long does that last?
Thanks for the feature; even when we're sick, writers love to see that word.
Thank you for sharing and submitting to
