For: Monday’s Writing Essentials
The Challenge: Post a blog entry. Write about writing. Write about your day – but don’t write it about you. Look for the universal. Look for the unique. Look for a new way of looking at your day. Write about darn near anything.

The Jenny Craig plan.and CBS
Our professor in the Creative Writing class that I am auditing with my friend Sarah gave us an assignment for next week. We are to write about writing. I didn’t want to take this stupid class but my friend did and she talked me into auditing the class with her. I think she wanted someone in the class to be dumber than she is when it comes to writing so she picked me. Since I’m not a writer it’s hard to know what to write about. Writers always have a muse (whatever that is) to tell them what to write. If I have one it is ignoring me so I’ll just write about the moment.
I am sitting here in my comfortable rocking chair watching “CBS This Morning” on TV and they are talking to a lady who is telling us about the Jenny Craig diet plan. She said that being on the Jenny Craig diet plan is a way of life that has to be followed forever for it to be effective. Booo to this! I gotta have ham-hocks, collard greens and cornbread more often than this plan probably allows. Oh, I almost forgot, I also have to have an occasional chocolate ice cream cone to satisfy the sweet tooth and I must not forget the Dr Pepper’s to wash it all down (no diet sodas allowed). However, I have a feeling that the folks on the Jenny Craig plan probably are skinnier than I am and look better than I do but I’m willing to bet that they are not near as happy as I am. I’m gonna live to be 102 and I owe it all to good cornbread, ham-hock, collard greens, chocolate ice cream and way too many Dr Peppers.
Woo Hoo, I have just written about how good life is!

They need me to pose, but not a before picture. I've always been skinny and need no diet. I should probably eat more ice cream. Well, I should probably eat. Heck, if I went on that diet I might gain weight. Jenny Craig, here I come.
Love your picture........

Loved this ~ heading back to the set...
I just read Priscilla's introduction of her character for the Shattered Pretty group (Granne Ni Mhaille or Granny O Malley). I think I'm going to be a treasure hunter. Her story started the wheels turning in my head along these lines. I just gotta find a moment (one that is NOT in the middle of the night) to organize it. I'm anxious to see how this is all going to play out.
Yeah, we might as well enjoy good food as long as we are alive.
Hi Sassy, thank you for reading and leaving a comment.
Hi Shelbia, thank you for reading and leaving a comment.
Corn bread doesn't have to be unhealthy, nor do collard greens (just leave out the pork, which is not allowed in our house anyways). It's the heavily processed stuff that most people eat on a regular basis that will do you in.
I eat. I often eat a lot more than the people around me. However, I can still fit a 0 or 2. If I ever hit an 8, I will have to re-evaluate my diet and exercise. Until then, though, I seem to be doing things right.
Thank you so much for reading and leaving a comment.
