February 14, Valentine’s Day had rolled around and Daisy Duck could hardly wait to see what Donald had gotten for her. She had been dropping hints all week and Donald seemed to be turning a deaf ear. She rationalized that that probably meant he didn’t want to be coaxed into telling her what the gift was. She was just dying to go to the luxurious Woo Woo Duck Spa.
She put on her finest feathers, errr …Dress and was waiting for Donald when he came home. He walked in the door and said ,”Hi” as if it was just any other day. He said, “I have to go down to the basement for awhile. Don’t come down.” Now Daisy took that to mean her surprise was down there and he was probably wrapping something up.
After about 20 minutes Donald came upstairs with a package under his wing. “I’m going out.” He said and left without even a good bye kiss, or is that peck on her cheek. Daisy was in tears over his odd behavior. She went down to the basement to see if he’d left any clues as to the reason for his actions. There in the waste basket was a bag from Victoria’s Secret.
“Oh Dear,” she sobbed. Donald has found someone else. She cried and cried and it was over an hour later when she heard Donald come back. She was about to confront him with the Victoria’s Secret bag and ask what he had bought and who it was for. Donald had gone directly into the bedroom, but Daisy couldn’t face him until she had dried her eyes. Every time she thought of Donald with another lady duck she started to cry again.
“Oh Daisy” called Donald. “I have something to tell you.” As she opened the door there stood Donald in a cupid’s costume holding a Giant Valentine that said, DONALD LOVES DAISY. Under one wing was a huge heart shaped box of candy.
Daisy started to cry again, “Donald, when you left here I thought you were going to see someone else……and then I found this (she holds up the Victoria’s Secret bag). Donald put his wings around Daisy and said, ”You are the only one I love, but the costume that I got at Victoria’s Secret was only part there and I had to go back and get the rest of it.
“What was missing,” asked Daisy.
“Just the most important part,” said Donald holding up the little bow and arrow. I was determined you wouldn’t get away from me.
