Swim with all your might in the school of life
Seek the poetry in the midst of each storm and treasure the deluge as well as the rainbow
Teach your tongue to be still and your heart to be open when faced with the anger and pain of others
Strive for clarity in mind and speech
Appreciate each boon that lightens your burden
Be more aware of breath as a tool for health and patience
Use your powers to bring happiness to others
Listen more carefully and think twice before speaking words that might hurt
Take the time to be creative and encourage creativity in others
Bravely face the challenges that test your soul
Laugh as much as possible and cry with abandon when necessary
This is dedicated to a special friend of mine who was hurt by my words.

I am glad your friend has forgiven. Thank goodness we do not always have to be absolutely perfect in all we think, say, and do. Were that so, we'd all be in trouble.
