Cell phone technology has really improved since the 80s where they were the size of a regular phone and would probably break a toe if you dropped it.
I tried to avoid getting one as i really didn't want to be "that accessible". After what hubby refers to a disappearing act he insisted I get one. I had gone out with a friend one afternoon and he couldn't find me. I have never seen him so worried that something had happened to me. I decided having one so he would be able to find me if necessary. I got myself a basic phone with a pay as you go card. I eventually upgraded to one where texting was easier as my daughter did more texting than talking. I was hooked! I texted and used the camera more than the calling feature.
Last summer I upgraded to a windows phone where I can use Facebook, the GPS feature, the camera and read an e-book. Sometimes I even talk on it. Now I am accessible and wireless.
Who knew I'd become a techno-geek.
