WHAT WILL I LOVE TOMORROW
A RE-POST
© 2010 by David Wainland
Today it is the calico kitten
Dancing the boardwalk
She smells of dune grass
And flower beds.
Breathing in the steamy
Salt flavored air of the
Rhythmic Wedgewood seas
Casting up ivory shells
Laughing at the awkward
Flight of ungainly pelicans
Sailing over imagined
Sahara Desert sands
A cacophony of roaring wind
Loudly breathing life into
Bouffant pillowcase sails
Fueling my mariner’s dreams
Fingers knotted round the
Pitted, rough railing I think
Today I love the ocean
What will I love tomorrow?

I will always love the sea...yesterday, today and tomorrow...I was born in a city by the sea and I live on an island surrounded by the sea...
