A flock of birds
A herd of sea cows
A zoo of animals
raise their eyebrows
as I saunter by
with my bevy of balloons
I've seen this before
on my favorite cartoons
where snotty kids with troops
of clowns and friends too
on their special birthday
come to the zoo
laughing and smiling
and making faces too
to the animals that watch
as the kids saunter by
I'm all alone
but I still want to try
so I smirk at the monkeys
and snarl at the seals
I makes faces at the fishes
and I love how this feels
to be a kid again
silly as can be
twirling my balloons
and so happy to be silly me
