Life is full of disappointments.
Nearly 4 years ago my husband had to bankrupt his business.
He began working part time in the meat room of the grocery store. He tried time and time again for full time positions to no avail.
Then June 22, 2010 he got into a motorcycle accident. He was on his way to yet another interview. Yet another full time job he didn't get though they did allow him to reschedule his interview.
Thanks to all the doctor appointments as Sean was healing from the accident it was on April 18, 2011 that we got the official diagnosis of Sean's cancer. Stage IV. In his neck/throat.
This may be some of the saddest news one can get, scariest too. Yet we persevered.
Sean had surgery, began radiation and chemo, and life went on.
Aria got into college at 15. We moved her into her dorm just the day after Sean finished his last radiation treatment.
Callisto finished NaNoWriMo in both 2011 and 2012.
Sean had another surgery in May 2012.
Sean got into seminary.
We have been blessed with many helping us along the way.
February will be Sean's next scan and while he is worried about the left side of his neck we are praying that this will not bring disappointing news.

Sean is looking at doing his CPE (clinical pastoral experience) in a hospital so he can work with trauma and cancer patients since he has first hand experience as a patient in both cases
(Since it still sent me an e-mail notification)
Posting comments has been a might glitchy lately
