A boy sobbed in the shadows,
A guttural sound-
His broken soul crying in the ally.
His face contorted,
Fresh snot was wiped upon his sleeve.
Sorrow was a stone in his belly,
Mixed with gall.
Vomit rose to be heaved out,
Cuttingly as sin.
Splatters wet his store-bought suit.
The youngster was racked with grief.
Torn with agony,
His body sought to purge him clean.
Misery rampant,
Yellow stained the seat of his pants.
The only comfort the boy had known,
Was totally gone.
How could love abandon this young life?
Death is ruthless-
His mom will be buried noon, tomorrow.
