Politics: I don't get it. The politicians are backstabbing and egotistical brats if they don't get their way. The opposing party in Canada will call a no confidence vote to get rid of our Prime Minister if they don't like what he is doing. This occurs only if there is a minority government in power.
All over the world their is vote buying, sex scandals and enough drama in politics to make the YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS look like a sitcom.
Even more confusing to me is the American electoral process which involves in-fighting to determine the best candidate for president. This goes on for months until the last man/woman is standing. Once that shoot out is over they go back to being buddies and beat up on their opponents in the big games.
In Canada the decision is made at a party convention with delegates to determine the best person for the job. There is no running mate in Canada and a deputy Prime Minister is appointed after the election is over and his Cabinet is selected. So much simpler up here, and easier to understand.
