The experiment begins.  Tell your friends and friends of friends, etc., to download this free book.  The point?  We want to send this book to the top of the readers' list.  The more downloads, the higher it will go.  The more good reviews, better yet.


Quite a few of these authors are professionals and have published books.  Help them sell more of their works by exposing new readers to their writing.  Many have been shy of publishing their work.  What a shame.  They are great writers.  Help them be recognized.

On the Smashwords page, I think you can download it directly without being a member of Smashwords.

I've downloaded Smashwords books before.


Kindle is also an available format.

I downloaded it directly on my Kindle for PC.


Kindle for PC is an option if a person wants to read Kindle books and doesn't want to buy a Kindle. Kindle for PC is a free app you download from Amazon. Also available in Mac format.

I have used Smashwords many times in the past and it is so easy to download a book. I always get mine in ebub for my Nook. I will be going to bed with the gather authors tonight. Shh!! Don't tell anyone.

I like ePUB, too, and have been using that since 08. I switched over to Kindle for PC if I have a choice because I can change the colors from black text on white (like here) to white text on black, which SAVES THE EYESTRAIN!!!! bUT i DO use ePub, too.

You don't have to get an actual e-reader, John. ePUB is Adobe, which downloads onto your computer and looks like an e-reader on your computer. Or, Kindle for PC, which is an app (free) from Amazon and it downloads onto your computer. I love the Kindle for PC because I like to read white text on black background, rather than a white page. A white page is so tiring for the eyes.

You will love an eReader. They are so easy to carry with you anywhere you go. I have a Nook Tablet. I got it to do my book reviews on and it is a life saver. Of course I got mine for free. :)

I can only imagine how much ink you used to print out the book. LOL

Yep, that was sad. But, working on my writing has had its own rewards. I'm working on a novel now and it is coming along nicely. I really love how it is turning out thus far. Of course, as a special treat, I will post the first chapter here on Gather to see what everyone thinks.

I will begin promoting the book by posting my review this week. From there I will encourage rating on Smashwords and reviews on gather. I know it seems that I am slow doing the promo but I want all the ratings and reviews to be honest and get folks excited. That does take time. Just letting you know I am still on the job.
