From Inside
“I’d really like to write a poem about this,” William thought. “It has all the ingredients: mountains bathed in the setting sun’s light; the sky overhead, an ocean with white ships and boats scattered in the distance; the leaves of the trees nearby chatter in the Breeze. That pigeon could become a heron, crane or even a flamingo, the birds feathers sprinkled with a glistening iridescence. It could work.”
William took his pad of paper, set it on the window ledge, licked the tip of his pencil and wrote, ‘The cobbler holding forth in his world peers through metal bars…”
