Crazy Bill Murray

Bill Murray owned a home on a lake near Eagle River, WI. A friend of mine owned a house on the other side of the lake. When her son learned about Bill Murray he and his friends made it a point to water ski in front of his dock.

One day Murray was sitting on his dock. My friend's son was on the skis. He decided to take a tumble right in front of Murray, then acted like he was in terrible trouble, drowning. He thought it would be a fantastic story for school and maybe the papers, that he was saved by Bill Murray.

With the kid thrashing in the water Murray walked to the end of his pier and shouted. "Get out of here. I know what you're doing. I wasn't in 'Meatballs' for nothing. Then he walked back into his house and, of course, the kid swam back to the boat.
