Shortly after the begatting of baby god Thor, Thor was given a magical hammer to help him with his good god powers. He became known to be the god of thunder, lightning, storms, protector of all mankind that was good and dealing with mankind that was evil. Thor loved the Lady of the Lake and she loved Thor, but it was never meant to be. Thor feasted and ate the nectar of the gods, while the Lady could not leave her watery home and was forced to eat sole.
One day the very thin Lady of the Lake told Thor that the sole had learned her ways and she was having difficulty finding food. She wasn’t yet ready to fade away and become a star in the universe. Thor forged the mightiest magical sword known to man. He called it Excalibur and flung it from the heavens to his Lady. With this sword, the Lady of the Lake would be able to catch and eat more sole than she could ever want.
Young King Arthur was fighting for peace and defeat seemed inevitable. Thor realized that King Arthur and his army were using swords made in a country that used cheap steel. King Arthur’s quest would be in vain without Thor’s help. So, Thor asked the Lady of the Lake to give Excalibur to King Arthur. Legend carries you through part of the fate of Excalibur until King Arthur returned the sword to the Lady of the Lake.
I believe Excalibur is being used today to avenge evil just as Thor had planned. You see, the Lady of the Lake has a ravenous appetite and Excalibur helps her catch as many souls as she needs to feed upon.

The challenge was to write in any form you desire about who, when and why Excalibur was forged and what happened to it after King Arthur gave it back to the Lady of the Lake.
