The Prompt:
Prose: Write a story using the point of view of Anonymous Narrator, Single Character Point of View. Or share something you’ve already written. If you’ve written any short fiction at all, chances are, you have something in that point of view.

Welcome to Centipede Isle. As you can see, this island is appropriately named; be careful where you walk.
Here we can see their mating behavior. The female is flipping her forked tail in an attempt to attract a mate. The male fell for it and as you can see, 200 legs are flailing. Within 5 seconds they've tired and go on their way. The male takes a dip in the ocean while the female lays her eggs in the beach sand. Here we see a female doing just that. A female has 50 wombs and usually lays that many eggs at a time. There have been noted instances of twins.
Here we have the young digging their way out of the sand and for the first time, they see their mother. They quickly slither to her. The female is prepared and has savory bug juice laden saliva for them to eat.
Here we see a female centipede swimming in the ocean with her family on her back. This is their first swimming lesson. Many more lessons will be taught. They must be strong in order to survive the long journey across the ocean; strong enough to slither to Arizona and climb up a sink basin drain the the middle of the night.
Their sole purpose in life is to scare a little blue bird.
