This weeks Wednesday challenge: A few of you have said I don't know how to write the word serious, so I'm out to prove you wrong. Ha!
*****
Seriously, I have no clue why Connie C., owner of GWE keeps me on as the Wednesday, WWE editor. Maybe it's because I'm not educated in writing. Maybe she hopes to bring in new and also experienced writers. Heck, some of you have helped me so much, I've been told that my writing was becoming smooth. So,since no one offered a suggestion of a challenge you'd like to see (ooops, if you did, please get on my case), this challenge will be on the topic of serious, seriously. Write about something you seriously care about, feel, want., etc., (in any form you desire).
Ideas: Are you serious about your education? Do you seriously want to win the lottery? Do you have a serious hobby? Do you think I'm going to write something serious? (Stay tuned for the next episode of ...)
This dare (oops, prompt) can be about anything as long as it's about 'serious'.
The Rules:
Keep in mind, this is a monitored group and there are only a couple of rules, which are:
Make sure you put this (WWE, 6/6/12, serious) in your title.
Be sure to tag it with WWE, Gather Writing Essentials, serious. Post to Gather Writing Essential.
I ask that you make your submission(s) by next Tuesday afternoon.
There is a limit of three submissions from each member per day. If you’re extremely prolific, spread out your work and post only three submissions per day.
Most important:
Put this challenge statement at the beginning or end of your submission so readers will know what you’re supposed to do and won’t think you’re crazy.
Challenge:
Write in any form you desire about something serious.
And check out these responses from last week's challenge - they are so wonderful that I enjoy reading them more than my own stuff (well that's a given, no brainer sort of thing).:

That Pam wants to seriously be serious
She furiously tries
But some of the guys
Are laughing until they’re delirious!
There is in baseball a fall classic, the World Serious
Fans are in the stands & flock to watch in sports bars
Oh how the knowledgeable announcers are imperious
Describing the talents & accomplishments of the stars
Admitting the best players fail in spectacular fashion
Despite all the homeruns they've ever been bashin'
Leave all talk of heroes & goats to the baseball writers
Proud of being insiders explaining it to us outsiders.
They rant and pontificate on every play
They fill gaps in knowledge with their suppositions
Despite never having once played those positioins.
Serious is as serious does.
