Book review for Easily Amused

Lola Watson is a single about to be thirty year old woman who has inherited her great aunt Mays house in a quiet yet very protective neighborhood. Along comes her friend Hubert Holmes who needs a home after his girlfriend gives him the boot. Lola being the kind of friend she is takes him in. Meanwhile her friend Piper is trying to fix her up with a real looker as a date for her sister’s wedding on Lolas big day. Mindy is a smug, sarcastic piece of work. After Piper finds the dream man Mindy decides to try him out as she thinks he is too good for Lola. Ryan Moriarty is not what he says and things get strange but Lola has Hubert who was right in front of her the whole time.

This is a cute romance. Sometimes you overlook the things right in front of you and Lola learns this. Don’t go looking for perfect as it very seldom is. I enjoyed the light little romp and ended up routing for Lola and Hubert. Once again Watson and Holmes end up together as Moriarty is foiled. 5 gold bookmarks for this book. I highly recommend this for the romantic at heart.
