Confused ~ Nifty-Fifty

Confused

up, down

forward, back

left, right

right, wrong

a deer in headlights, me

frozen in the glare

of high beams of decisions

I must make

or do I -

should I -

why can't I -

you'd think I loved standing here

moments away from

a bone-crushing conclusion

to my confusion

...wonderful. While reading, I could feel the blood drain and the fear take over...that actual deer caught in the headlight feeling...your writing just keeps getting better..bravo!

I think you got inside the deer's head! There are so few choices and such panic that it feels like an animal is thinking, until you add a human voice in the last four lines.
