The fear of fires
raging within
screeching of tires;
soon the burnings will begin
the car screeches to a halt
then spirals over the hill
landing in a heap
I can no longer weep
my lungs soon to fill
with the fires raging within
bones snapped and smashed
flesh ripping from being slashed
the smell of gas strong
the fires finally take me
and I think ...
I was dead all along
