Challenge:
Write in any form you desire about: Cars and Trucks

I’ve written before about the Jaguar Mark V Drop Head Coupe I bought just before graduation from college. The image is not mine, but one like it.
The car had an electric fuel pump but a former owner had seen fit to add an electric fuel pump under the frame between the fuel tank and engine. It protruded several inches below the frame, so it didn’t take much to bump it on a rock or something, which would loosen the fuel line fittings.
One time it was parked in front of the women’s dorm across from our fraternity house and I noticed a puddle of gasoline under the car. So I crawled under the car with a wrench to address the problem.
Gasoline dissolves road tar.
Did you ever try to wash road tar out of your hair?
