Â
May holds many things for us, the birth of my husband, my mother-in-law, our first grand daughter, and also our first niece on my husband's side. I remember when I first met my husband and we had exchanged birth dates. Me being born on April 29th, and him being born on May 1st. For a little bit of trivia we learned that we were pregnant for our first child on April 30th of the following year which was a present to us both.Â
My mother-in-law follows right after on the 6th, Lilly on the 14th and my Niece on the 29th. There are a few other special days in there like today which is one of my Nephews birthdays (Happy Birthday Mason) along with Mother's day, and closing out the month Memorial day. Although I would like to know what Len was referring to by VE day. I am not sure I know what that day is or when it is.
For us May is the winding down of birthdays until late fall early winter before they start back up again. So it is a time to relax sit back and enjoy the few weeks of summer we see in these parts. Making plans for summer activities and of course two more parties. One for Deanna's half birthday, the other for Samantha's graduation.
You should all know by now that Marksville likes to Party! Have a great month of May everyone.

This Week’s Challenge:
Write something about the Month of May. Using prose or poetry, write anything about the month of May, any holiday in the month, or anything that happened to you or a family member or friend during this month.
Â
Ideas:
Here’s one more site that gives you weird May holidays.
Astronomers and psychologists still argue about why the perigee moon appears to be so large when it’s on the horizon. Give us your opinion about that.
Mother’s Day is this month -- wow, that’s got to spark some thoughts.
I have a special feeling for VE Day, but it was before my time. Do you happen to have a family member who remembers that and would be willing to share his/her thoughts about the day?
Â
Watch Out For:
The only thing is that your submission must have something to do with the month of May. Any May -- hmm, do you happen to have a great-aunt May?
