Dear Bic Pens.. why must you sell the entire pen each time?  Why not sell just the cartridge?  With how many pens this world goes through, wouldn't that save on a lot of plastic garbage and save you $$$?  Please help keep my home green!

i'm trying to solve a problem that we currently have though. yes, that option is there, but what if we not only saved on shipping by shipping MORE CARTRIDGES for disposable pens that are so commonly used in the office setting. keep your current holder, replace the cartidge.

I accept disposible pens if someone gives it to me, but I only buy pens that allow me to put in new cartridges or fountain pens I can refill. I generally shop OfficeMax, and the outlets near me have a good supply of pens in that category.

wong kind of pen. i'm talking about the normal disposable ones you would find in an office, not a click pen.

Of course, you could use a fountain pen or buy something else that's refillable. Nobody compels people to buy disposable writing instruments.

I like fountain pens myself. I've hardly ever refilled a ballpoint, felt tip, roller ball, or gel pen. I usually lose them first.

price compels offices to buy disposables. and i would say offices are the BIGGEST wasters and trash makers.

Marketing its called don't just sell refill for pennies,sell whole pen make more money who care about you and I? Now stop buying them all together and when the bottom drops lets see what they do then?

i personally haven't bought a pen in ages. but i was more thinking of the impact it would have on office situations.

Do they even sell refillable fountain pens any more? All I ever see for sale is the cartridge fountain pens which aren't the same at all and do little for the disposable issue.

That is a really good idea but some offices don't really care about the garbage they make, they jut case about productivity,
