“Aw C’mon. Isn’t it ready yet?”
“Not quite,” Len stood over the grill in a tall chef’s hat, the long two-pronged fork dangling from his left hand.

“Is it ready yet?”
“Getting there,” Len gently lifted a corner of the sirloin, and noted with satisfaction that it had been seared and held its juices in.
*****
“Now?”
“Keep your shirt on!” he flipped the sirloin and took a long draw off his cold drink.
*****
“We’re all waiting.”
He grinned in answer and stuck his tongue out.

“You know the deadline is Tuesday, right?”
“I know,” Len sliced a chunk of the medium rare, Montana-bred sirloin, and forked the fragrant, deep-pink morsel into his mouth. He leaned back and chewed slowly, with a contented sigh. “Damn, that’s good.”
*****
“Seriously? You finished that entire steak by yourself and now you’re looking at dessert? C’mon already—we can’t wait.”
Len patted his belly then pushed back his chair. ‘I’m just yankin’ your chain, now. You look so cute with your face all screwed up and purple, Pam—your eyes buggin’ out.”
He crossed to the computer and poised his fingers over the keys. He sighed, and thought back to his first experience with steak, when he was just a young lad.
Here’s what he typed and posted to WWE: “It’s as true today as it was yesterday. The first time is always the best…and the most memorable.”

Pam Brittain's Prompt: Len Maxwell has been hinting for someone to post a prompt that would satisfy his need to write about his first experience with steaks. He won't give a hint what the prompt should be. So, Wednesday's challenge will be 1 of 2 choices. These can be done in any form you desire.
*****
Challenge 1: Write a story about why Len won't post his steak story. Is he chicken? Was it a chicken steak, beaf steak, rattlesnake steak...? Or,
Challenge 2: Write a story about your own experience with your steak. The weirder the better.
