This weeks Wednesday challenge: WalMart
***
I'm in my car driving home and finally, I have my nerves under control Thinking back, I remember running out of WalMart screaming, "Turn off that awful music. Turn off that awful music." That was the worst anxiety attack I had ever had.
Then I remembered running into a man. He grabbed at my purse and I clobbered him with it. (Never mess with a country girl. There's a big chance that she's packing a gun in her purse). I remember he fell and I took off running the last 1/2 mile to my car.
I'm okay now and quite pleased. There was what sounded like an elderly lady on the radio reaching out. "Who ever you are out there, you're an angel. The man you knocked down at WalMart was trying to mug us. He's in jail now. Just wanted to thank you."
Ideas: I’ll be anxiously waiting to read your ideas.
Suggestions: Sure, please send me challenges you’d like to see.

'Tis heaven itself!!
If they have a special place for ppl to hook up with the internet & lounge around ... THAT is headed on the way to 'high rent' ... or maybe it helps ppl feel not so isolated to be out in the country ???? Which I would have to say gives Walmart a high five :)
... heheh -- another reason I don't do Walmart!
Just be sure to put WWE or GWE in your title. That way each daily editor will know you're responding to the challenge when they see you posted it to Gather Writing Essentials.
I can't wait to read your story.
I'm not sure I understand what this weeks challenge is.
Speaking of a new challenge, do you have any ideas?
This weeks challenge is just to write anything you want involving WalMart. In my case, I'm afraid of the store. You can write anything you want - it's totally open.
Walmart. Okay. Will try, as I don't go there often. The nearest Walmart is in the next town or two towns over.
Ideas....Uh...writing about our hobbies, best friends, favorite animals? ;p Not really good in the idea department. |p
I am glad you added your link. It can be very difficult to find all the posts that are submitted for each promt.
Pam,
I hate Walmart
Yep, I bet at 2 Am in the morning you have the whole store to yourself. I personally would prefer a thing called sleep.
That's my opening sentence.
