Please recommend this post to boost our recognition at Gather. We are an awesome group!

April's Mindful Poetry Contest III was a wonderful event. We had 393 submissions from a total of 40 poets. We had a number of first timers for our group. We gained two new members. A quarter (ten poets) of those who participated wrote a poem every day or missed only one day of the whole month.
Compare this to last year's contest where we had 268 poems submitted by a total of 39 poets with six poets writing every day or missing only one day.
I have the break-down of who submitted and what they submitted for the past two years if you want more stats, please ask.
Our last "week" consisted of one day. The challenge form was open and many forms were submitted. Here is the Poem-of-the-Day for April 30th.
Here is a listing of all the Poems-of-the-Day.

Now roll out the carpet as we welcome Mindful Poetry's 2012-13 Poet Laureate.
For his consistent writing, affirmations and suggestions, and all-around poetic nature, please congratulate John Beckas our new Poet Laureate!
John joins our line-up of past Poet Laureates
2010: Atticus *
2011: Mustafa Demiri
2012: John Beck

Everyone is welcome to join our group. We focus on traditional form poetry in sometimes untraditional voices. We care for one another's work and support and encourage each other. We enjoy annual contests, monthly form-challenges, and always an atmosphere of respect for the word-artist.

Big thanks to Susan for her tireless efforts to provide us with this incredibly entertaining and educational contest. Thank you Susan.
But I must say that there was some stiff competition offered this year - the kind that makes us all better poets.
The crown I held as laureate of bays entwined in wreath,
And to this new poet laureate, again all honour and respect,
As we celebrate the crowning of the venerable John Beck.
You are a wonderful poet, my friend, and so very worthy of the title of Poet Laureate, and I consider myself honoured to be counted in the such brilliant company. Atticus and yourself are two among the finest poets, and there are so many others that had done so marvelously here in this year's contest... It really is a privilege to be a part of this wonderful gathering of poets here on gather... my only regret is that I had so little time to devote to it this year...
But I regress,
So, let me readdress,
my friend in his success,
And I am sure that all would acquiesce,
That he is the poet of the highest finesse.
~Huzzah!
Eloquently penned, Mustafa.
A big SHOUT-OUT to Susan for her tireless efforts in supporting poetry!
I'm trying!
Congratulations to all who participated, too. I've enjoyed reading all your poems, and learning from them and from your comments.
Susan, thanks for the thoughtful prompts and comments, and the gracious way you have run run this competition for yet another year.
Resonant words align.
Mystic energies manifest,
call to neural chambers: "Come to play!"
Sparkling children firefly dance.
Innocence against a random nightscape
(humbling the wise with unknown unknowns).
The moment flown, eyes carry to the next entertaining bit.
We've had our fun, perhaps an epiphany or two.
Inner ears listening,
merrily engaged in lingering song.
May dance displayed as heady words
sparkle.
Mystically lit fireflies
resonate without end.

I hope you're sitting down now. ;-)
Thanks, hon. We work together. I just recommended your poetry group to Robert our new Aussie.
So far, not too much, but tomorrow is the day I will spend at least two hours on it. It's on my calendar.
Congratulations, John. Congratulations, Susan.
Thank you submitting to Gathers Luminous Writers and Artists. Now Featured.
