Abbott and Costello: There should be a remake

Abbott and Costello were WAY before my generation. But I thought I would watch season one just to learn about them.

I think the shows were fun! Each episode was very different. The jokes were predictable campy fun. I wish they would do a sort of remake of this show. So much of TV is the same today. This was different to me.

I can see Justin Timberlake doing the straight man roll of Abott... don't know who would do Costello though...

If to keep to the body type of a short, rolly polly man - that might be hard to find in Hollywood. Everyone thinks they have to be so skinny and buff. But just for the talent of Costello's facial expressions and sweet innocence... not sure who could match that.

well, i don't mean a movie.. i mean a variety burlesque show. i think a half hour show would be great.

yea, but after a while i did get annoyed with them.. i think it's the tone of costello's voice in the high pitches and abbotts always being "better" attitude

I saw them when I was a kid. I always thought their humor was cruel. It creeped me out.

i remember that's how laurel and hardy's daughter felt. which ever was the skinny one hated the bigger one because she didn't realize what they did on film didn't carry over to real life. she thought the bigger one was mean to her daddy.

I have always loved "Abbott and Costello." As a matter of fact, I've got several DVDs, as I have a large collection of the "oldie but goodie" days.........even have W.C. Fields, Charlie Chaplin, Burns & Allen, etc........great laughter, great fun..........stuff put out today can't begin to compare, that's for sure!
