Â
She frolics
each day, beneath
the long blades of grass,
stopping often
to take in
the sweet scented
flowers
Slight in frame
with delicate
silk woven wings,
she flutters
beneath the shade
to avoid
April showers
Her shiny
red shell with
tiny balck spots
catches my eye
as she rests
on the arm
of my chair
Would you care
for some tea?
I jokingly tease,
but once again
she flutters in the
wind with a
lady-like flair
I watch
as she stops
to smell the new
silky wet flowers
Goodbye ladybug,
I whisper
into the warm
summer air
