HEAVEN’S CHARIOT
© by David Wainland

I heard the heavens playing
the music that we love
base was everywhere
the melody from above
Michael Jackson sang
a truly mournful lullaby
Whitney warbled a tune
that made Elvis Presley cry
Buddy wailed the blues
and Ricky did the like
Johnny Cash played guitar
John Lennon at the mike
They spread their arms out wide
to welcoming him aboard
Dick Clark arrived that evening
in George Harrison’s golden Ford
