Starting at a very early age, my mom encouraged the joy of reading in all three of us. They would take us to the library thirty seven miles away in Thessalon. We lived in the middle of nowhere. My mom subscribed to the book of the month and I got to enjoy the likes of How Fletcher was hatched and anything written by Charles M. Schultz. My moms strategy worked and thus I became an avid reader and listener at story time in school.
My love for a good mystery started with THE BOBBSY TWINS, and progressed to THE HARDY BOYS, NANCY DREW and ENCYCLOPEDIA BROWN.
I love a good whodunit and as an adult got into Robert B. Parker, Iris Johanssen and Tess Gerritson. Sure I like romance and what some people call Chick-lit but its the mystery of finding out why a crime was committed pulled at me to create my own. I am also a fan of series so my characters are constantly finding dead bodies in each story I write. I don't write heavy suspense thrillers but books that have action humor and some steamy romance and heavy breathing.
