I meant to post the rules for this contest...The senyru form

Follow these rules:

Follow the syllable count
Follow the subject theme
You have freedom to make line breaks as you choose or none at all.
Today's prompt: although Japanese poetry like haiku and senyru are not usually titled, we will title ours. For your title: Use a name of someone on Gather. If you are hesitant to do that, use your own name as it appears on Gather.
Publish so that the date stamped is April 10th and only stamped once unless you provide a clarifying comment.

I love the pen name "Just Me ~ I'm Happy To Be" and it fit beautifully with my senryu composed in the early morning hours...not long after reading her submissions to Gather.
JM's poetry is so gorgeous.

Like a painting, not a photograph. I like your interpretive "blue shadow," based on an inner, or "inside" dimension. A photo would show the shadow to be black or gray. Amazing. In 17 syllables, an impressionistic painting!

I had a blue copy but I couldn't find a way to post it ..so I went with the "pencil sketch" picasa version that was not as good....It's a mac iphoto vs. picasa issue.

It is a great tribute to JM: I was confused at first; is the photo also of Just Me when she was a child or teen?... Really lovely, Jan, in any case.

I don't know how tall JM is but I am very short...hence the long tall me being the one on the inside. I searched so many pages on my gather pages for an image of my actual long shadow from the past and actually figured out how to drag it into the editor. Then when editing my text I accidentally lost it...and was too tired to start all over again. Searching on Gather for my pictures, even using tags is so slow and quirky.

At first, I thought it was a younger you, then I wasn't sure. Searching is very quirky and long, yes, having had to search through 100 pages of photos for some specific montreal photos that are on the other computer and were not on this one until I downloaded them onto this one. Losing.. computers are sooo #)(#$*#)$(*

I am short, but you are more petite. I am 5'3. Petite is sweet. I think JM is a bit taller.

Thanks, Charli. It's a new picasa editing tool that turns a photo into a sketch. I had a better one that really looked like a sketch but couldn't find it when trying to add it to the article.
