Yesterday we received 25 senryu submissions to the Mindful Poetry Contest. Here is the Poem-of-the-Day. Also, please note that I've been misspelling this form frequently. It's s-e-n...r-y (think rye bread)...u. senryu
Good luck! Have fun! Read and comment on other contestants here.

Here are the guidelines:
In English, it is syllabic, often falling into iambic meter with all lines of similar length
Four stanzas total, first three stanzas have four lines, last stanza is a couplet
Line 1 repeats at line 7 & 13
Line 2 repeats at 8 & 14
Rhyme scheme: A-B-b-a // a-b-A-B // a-b-b-a // A-B
What's important is that you have the correct number of lines (14) and the rhyme scheme as noted above. Also, that you repeat lines 1 & 2 in the correct spots as noted above.
Remember that Mondays and Tuesdays are easier and then it gets more poetry-like.
So yes, the rhyme scheme is: A-B-b-a // a-b-A-B // a-b-b-a // A-B
