Out on a walk, the children and I
We came to crossroads, we took one
that left us to cry. A child taken
Why did he die?
Lives forever changed. nothing
Will ever be the same. Tears deep
inside reside. We smile to the world
But our little boy died.
More questions, no answers, life goes on
Though we lost a beloved child and grandson.
But he is in safe keeping in the arms of the
Lord, until that day when all will be restored.
Days and weeks, seasons march on.
It seems like he should not be gone.
We find ourselves smiling, and laughing too
Gerrin would not want us to be blue.
Friends came at first, then left one by one
Now two and half years later we are alone.
Changes on the wind we know are blowing
Trusting in God we go forward he is all knowing
What next in life we do not know
We stand at a crossroads, once more.
My husband and I married come April forty two years
We have had a lot of laughter, shed a lot of tears
Our hope and our prayer is for a better tomorrow
free of tears, and hurt and sorrow.
We hope the road we decide to choose, will lead us
down a path that with skies of blue, we are ready
For something good and new.
We stand looking back at where we have been
Along some roads we lost family and friend
Some were good, some were bad, some happy
While others were very sad.
We stand at the crossroads, in our winter season
For spring was our youth, Summer our family grrew
Autumn was full of color and strife. We have lived
A lot of life., Raised a daughter and three sons
Now our winter seasons begun. Crossroads
And seasons, we never know what they will bring
Some times Tears, sometimes a song to sing.
Our prayer is for a winter like spring.
We have been preparing the fertile ground of our mind
For a move and new adventures one more time. We are ready for
The new season, the winds of change, to try a new road whatever it brings
We will walk it together, my sweetheart and I, we might laugh we might cry
We will hope and pray for the very best until one day we take that road
To our final rest. I hope and I pray. That day is yet far and away. .
