The Realm of Eternity
Jennine Donier, CR, March 19, 2012
Dedicated to my Grandson Gerrin who's spirit went to live in that other realm at the age of 4 August, 19th, 2009. Miss you Little Man, Always will until we are together in that realm beyond tomorrow.
There is a barrier between life and death
We cannot cross it, we are not anxious to
be on the other side of death. Life is precious
Our hearts yearn for those who have departed
From their earthly realm and bodies.
Our lives forever changed, We are left with sorrow
We are left with anguish and pain and not understanding.
Some deaths are much harder to take. We all know
Some day we will die, we know grandparents and parents
Get old and they will die. But when a child dies
When we out live our babies and grandchildren
That is a chasm of pain we want to never be
Our aching arms reach for the toddler forever
gone to a place beyond our comprehsion and we
Ask why, Why did you take my baby, my son
My daughter, my precious child, my heart.
We find solace and hope in resurrection of a far off
Someday. But we still yearn for years and wonder
What would they be like now had they had the chance
To grow up.
What color their hair, what kind of interests
Would they have. Jobs, hopes and dreams
We are separated from those who have crossed
over into the barrier and realm we know as death
They have just gone before us into another dimension
A realm like a thin invisible veil that separates us from
those we love, we sense their presence, we sometimes catch
a fleeting glimpse, feel a butterfly kiss or see a sparkling orb
caught in a photograph and know they are near and love us..
Someday we will cross too
We will stand before the Almighty and answer for all our life
For what we did, and who we are.
We will then be shown one of two places
One is for the saved, the chosen, those have done well
A place reserved for "The Good and Faithful servant of our Lord"
The other is a dark chasm a deep abyss and it is appalling
We hear the wail of those who were cast there for an eternity.
Into the fiery pit of torment and never can we, if cast there, no
hope remains. There is no return, it is permanent barrier of exile.
it is hot and dry and perpetually frightening
A place of sorrow and weeping and gnashing of teeth.
These have been forever barred from the presence of God and
His love, his glory, his mercy. There is no coming back from this pit.
The other place is one of great joy, of love, well being of beauty
Unending peace and tranquility and there we hope to find
Most of our loved ones who waited for us.
We will not miss the exiled cast into a place of no return
We will not remember them, God has erased all memory
From our hearts and minds of them.
We just see our children, our siblings, our loved ones who are in the good place.
Our parents and those who also were given the gift of eternal life.
We eagerly embrace them, Full of joy and laughter and dancing.
To sit in the presence and glory of the Great God Almighty and his son
The Lamb, King of Kings and Lord of Lords and to worship him
For now we wait, we hope, we pray and we remember
Until it is our time to slip into the unknown barrier
behind the veil of death into a dimension of final judgement
Will it be eternal love, and joy, or eternal separation from God and love?
The choice is our.
As for the children; Jesus said, Allow little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 19:14
