It was a sad day when the two of them departed. Well, maybe not too sad because I knew they were destined for greatness. They did seem nervous when they left.

Since we raised them almost all of their lives, we became quite attached. The sweetest of the two girls openly showed her affection for my husband, which pleased me a great deal. They both were beautiful, but one was reserved and moody while the other was outgoing and loving.

On that fateful day, I told myself everything was alright. They’d come back to us soon. They came back in 2.5 weeks. Granted, they were slightly altered. Yummy! Prime A+.

Reminds me of the girl whose 4-H pig I bought at auction. She was appropriately proud of her pigs, but proud to see them go to become pork and bratwurst as well.

Thank, Kevin. I was a little worried and wouldn't have posted it if you hadn't given me the go ahead. I try to avoid whenever possible to write sad. Thank you again. You gave us a good challenge.

This is great, Pam. I know you raise cattle but I could never eat animals I've become acquainted with, I'm a wuss. But you wrote a great post and it was a fantastic ending.
