Hello, Everyone! :-) (Thanks, Greg, for helping me get that dang picture to line up nicely with my words!)
This week has been insanely good! I'm super excited about things on the horizon. I'll share more next week. :-)
I love photography and looking at pictures, so we're going to do another one of those types of prompts today. :-) (I have more planned for the future.)
I especially enjoy seeing and reading what other people feel or think about the same picture. It's possible to have a huge variety of responses. One person will notice clothing or dirtiness while another notices emotions or the positions of the people/animals in the shot. It's awesome. :-)
For today's prompt, I want you to choose one of the photos below and tell us what it says to you. You can talk about concrete or abstract things. You can discuss the first thing that pops into your mind, or you can talk about the picture itself. You can tell us what you think the photographer is trying to say, or what you'd be saying if you were the one who took it. You can tell us what the person/animal is saying. Get creative! :-)
I don't really have any rules for this one. We'll do another grammar-related prompt again soon, but not today.
The original photo for the orangutan can be found here.

The original photo of the old lady can be found here.

If you'd like, you may choose to do both pictures. I'm fine with whatever. :-)
Remember:
You have until Thursday, March 1, 2012 (month of my birthday, my husband's birthday, and our first anniversary!!! :-)) at midnight to write and post, and it can be in any format.
I will read and comment on your responses a week from today.
* Have your title say FWE or Friday Writing Essential, and have the initials "OOL" (Orangutan and an Old Lady) in it.
* Make sure to post to the Writing Essential Group.
* Put FWE or Friday Writing Essentials and the initials "OOL" in your tags. (I won't find your post without these tags.)
Have a great week!
Oh, and also, I'm not on Gather very often anymore, but I do check my messages. If you want to get a hold of me, send me a message anytime you need to, and I'll get it when I sign in on Fridays!

I love that lady's apron. I wonder which pic will get the most posts.
Happy Birhday to you and your husband and Happy Anniversary, too. What a fantastic month for us all!
Great prompt, Andrea.
(How many days until I retire?)
