Milestones (Thursday Writing Essential)

Have you experienced any milestones lately? Share them with us here at the Gather Writing Essential. Write a story, a short essay or simply describe your milestone in a couple of detailed paragraphs. Write a poem, a humorous piece or perhaps an entire novel. Okay, forget the novel. Some evenings Gather is so slow I can't even feature writer's work on the WE page! It would take a week to post a novel!

This has been sitting in my box because I didn't think I really had any milestones that I have crossed lately, then if we go back to May of this year and count being a Grandmother, then yes I have reached the milestone of not only being a Grand parent at the age of 39 but also having my first Grand daughter. I can tell you that I am totally loving it.

I was there from the minute she was born, and have been a part of every day since she was born. She loves her Grandma and Grandma loves her. She is my world all over again. My kids are my world, but my grand daughter is my life. I thought I would never live long enough to see a Grandchild be born, and by God's will I am still here, able to enjoy my little Lilly.
