As the narrative wrote each story
Asterisk faded on fallen leaves
Beyond silvery moon avenues
Crossroad options, tick-tock arrows flew
Dusty moments on shelves sifting through
Essays containing rusted glory
Flightless colors on paths lit poorly
Go back continues, not fade away
Hours flying by as seconds sway
Inclined time pieces, pocket watch, clock
Jingle jangle, wiggle on with age
Kindly take a bow, turn the next page
Lie down in wonder, awe in replay
Made in the pretense of parody
Needing further farther, if maybe
Opening gates where no flowers grew
Profit from knowing an empty pew
Quietly looking at reflections
Rippling through variety of rhymes
Satisfied all hopes are tick-tock lines
Taste the elixir of dreams savored
United daydreams, good day favors
Viewing mists of castle flags waving
Wisps whisper on breeze gently grazing
Xebec gathering winds for sailing
Yonder wanders the steps remaining
Zenith climbs; rub eyes, clock’s a-ringin’

Thank you.
As for pocket watches, hubby has one. It seems people who make men's jewelry cannot imagine a size 14 wedding ring or the same wrist might need a wristwatch, so he carries a pocket watch.
Thank you.
