The Secret

The temptation to reveal the secret
Is making me crazy
To whisper it into your ear
To release the frenzy

I cannot contain the message
I cannot control this itch
I do not want to own this
It is simply too rich

I promised, I really did
I swore myself to be true
To not repeat it
And this I rue

The words are in my head
Are scratching in my throat
But, if I talk, and talk too much
Oh, I will sink that boat!
