NETS WILL GET LEBRON

Move over New York. Forget Chicago. Who cares about Los Angeles? Miami who? Cleveland still has a chance? The most coveted free agent in the NBA will go to New Jersey come July 1st. Why? Well, besides having his pal and mentor Jay Z as a minority owner, the Nets new owner, Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov will appeal to all around the world. He will assure LeBron James that as a Net, his brand will be global, and not just in North America. The Nets have been wheeling and dealing, awaiting for July 1st, so that they can finally put a closure on last year's miserable season. They traded away the mediocre Yi Jianlian to the Wizards and sent Chris Douglas-Roberts packing to Milwaukee. They kept their core of star Devin Harris at the point, good role players in Courtney Lee at the 2, and Terrance Williams as the sixth man, not to mention future All-Star and potential double-double machine in center Brook Lopez. They drafted Derrick Favors with the third pick in this year's draft. They have enough cap space to sign up to two players from this historic free agent class. Think about it. LeBron James playing the 3, with Avery Johnson at the helm. His reputation is playing hard nose defense and LeBron knows that defense wins championships. They can also add either add Joe Johnson to start at shooting guard, or bring in Amar'e Stoudemire, who has previously stated that the Nets are an intriguing option. Or bring in LeBron's olympic team members in Carlos Boozer or Chris Bosh to play the 4. Don't worry Jay Z. Your boy is coming to town.
