With the exception of my writing tutorials and freewrites regarding my neighbors, I rarely write anything serious, thus I really dislike leaving the Humor Monday column. But, wherever Greg was goofing off, they could only stand him for two weeks, so he’s back and I’m outta here.
For my final try at this humor thing, I’m going to challenge you to write about yourself. Many writers are uncomfortable doing that, but I want you to try it. Anyone who reads my work knows that I frequently stick in something that shows what an idiot I can be. (Trust me; it comes naturally -- no work needed on my part.)
Tell me about the time you did something you thought was really cool and it resulted in you feeling silly. How about the time you pulled some prank on a friend/sibling/parent and it backfired on you. Or that time your best friend pulled a trick on you that everyone (except you) laughed about. Make me feel sorry for you at the same time I’m laughing at or with you.

This Weeks’ Rules:
- Write something humorous (poetry or prose) and make me laugh at what you did or had done to you.
- If you’re really prolific, don’t post more than three items per day.
- Tag your submission with mwe and put (Humor Monday) in the title.
- Submit your entry before late afternoon next Sunday (I won’t go into all the various time zones this week.)
