Silent Faces Speaking 18

Surreal Western Australian - Flower Power 2
Â
This series is named Silent Faces Speaking because faces in photographs can express so much even though not a single word is actually spoken. My own dreadful contribution to interpretations of what is said will thankfully be limited to a title for each image. Hopefully, you'll share your astute interpretations of the scenes presented.
The entire series is surreal in that every photograph has been altered. This has been mainly accomplished by using Picasa but sometimes by also using Microsoft Paint to manipulate the images. Just for the sheer dementia of it, not a single image in the entire 26 part series of 453 photographs is as the eye would ordinarily see it. The camera lies magnificently!
We began exploring the surreal by going on a psychedelic pub crawl. Having miraculously survived the affects of too many banana smoothies and a counter lunch of steak smothered in magic mushroom sauce, we searched for sobering coffees. Thus we staggered by a plethora of cafes ... stumbling into surreal realities where we glimpsed the first of the Silent Faces Speaking. We continued our journey, touched by sepia, followed by blue. We continued bravely on, still affected by banana smoothie and magic mushroom unreality. With Bob then hurling us into the psychedelic, we found that although the wheel had come full circle, it hadn't stopped spinning. But then B&W did just that and tumbled us into sepia once more! Only to meet B&W yet again. Now, we're all insanely expert in picking the surreal. Perhaps not really?

Thanks for posting this to The Surreal Circus!
Indeed I am in the USA, Ann - but I yearn for long spells of sunshine, here in Massachusetts. I'm assured it will happen.
Thanks for sharing with Gather's Best Writers and Artists.
I love the colors...as some of them take on the appearance of a painting.
I can't wait for part 3!
I just absolutely love that rose, what a beauty, I almost forgot about the other photos once I came to them. But I found my way back and enjoyed the adventure through your eyes and captions. Thanks for the smile.
I'm pleased you enjoyed the photos and thank you very much for coming along.
