I Wish For You...
No more doubtfulness, no more fear,
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year;
Warm fires to wane the winter chill,
Lumbering hands gloved in goodwill;
A covering over your head,
Comforting food the table spread;
Touch from another that you feel,
Allowing hardened heart to heal;
Dawn of days high temperatured,
Away from black ice adventures;
End to trials and tribulations,
Freedom from all drug addiction;
A life not of back street alley,
Down the mountain, in the valley;
Love's good fortune, a peace lily,
I wish you all these things, Billy;
Momma's heart unfolds unto thine,
Blessings and a bit o' sunshine!

Written for the group Gather Writing Essential -- Thursday Writing Essential
For this week's theme I'd like you to write a letter, poem, or composition of sentences wishing someone (real or fictitious) the warmest holiday wishes you can create. It doesn't matter if you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or any other winter holiday; just do your best to convey sincere salutations.
