We sparked life with burning teenage lust one hot summer night, hormones raging,
afire, burning with passion and unyielding desire!
There will never be another. I'll never feel my breath leave my body with the rush that is your touch. Pressed against you I always become a teenager in love again.
You slithered away like a thief in the night, tearing out my still beating heart I'm drowning in an ocean of tears.
My heart stopped beating, infertile, dead, numb, baby, it was always you.
Rivers of tar flowing through your veins slowly seeps in again, in your demon's grip, the blackness envelops your heart, seizes your soul. You don't feel. You eyes no longer dance like a child on Christmas, but have been been violently gouged out and replaced with cold amber stones, half closed, glazed over, dormant.
You nod while I die. I am dead inside. The lively embers have almost died out, you embrace your coma, paused, unwavering as the sun sets on your golden hair.

However, it does bring back memories of a love lost forever that was not by choice.
Beautifully written, Amy. Thank you.
