Thursday Writing Essential

Greetings, Gather writers. It's Thursday, and that means it's time to submit your best writing to the Writing Essential. I'm giving everyone an easy break today, since I was out late at a Paul McCartney concert at Fenway Park in Boston! (A separate post and photos will come after I've had some sleep!)

Today's theme is 100% open, so hit me with your best shot....your writing shot, that is! Poetry, prose, an essay, a nonfiction piece or an entire novel...all are perfectly fine to submit.

I finally wrote a short story, I had started last week and didn't finish.
It began with a prompt for the Titled Sentences Challenge group, I'm in. I hope you like this submission.
