Yes, Dave. Here's what she's looking for:

Single title romance (series/trilogies too!) in all sub-genres:
*paranormal
*historical
*contemporary
*romantic suspense
*erotic romance
minimum 90,000 words, please
*a heroine the reader can identify with
*a hero she can fall in love with
*a world is created
*a "hook" Deb can use to sell the book in 2-3 sentences

Actually, I think I did it (49). I just don't see how the utter fantabulousness of my writing can possibly shine through in so few words.

Ah, but you've just hit on it, Tracy - it's all about the story. No matter how good you can write, if you don't have the story, then you won't sell (the collective "you", not you personally!)

That SOUNDS good... but we've all read good stories that were killed by bad writing, and we've all read bad stories that we stayed with because they were funny, even if stupid ("why am I reading this?"). Plus so much bad/formulaic stuff gets published by big houses every day that honestly I don't know how ANYone gets published anymore!

But hey. New Year. Take a chance. I'll post my 49 on Thursday. ;-)
