Happy Gatherversary from Me

I've just noticed that my first Gatherversary occurred on Sunday.   I guess I've been so busy Gathering, I didn't notice the date.

Gather and its members have enriched my life so much.  I've read about things that I didn't know existed. I've viewed incredible photos and visited dozen of foreign countries.   I have heard marvelous music and laughed out loud at videos and jokes.  I have re-examined some beliefs and learned all manner of new and helpful information.  You made this possible.

Gather has such a vast diversity of talent. I came to Gather one year ago and discovered a gold mine.  Best of all, I've met some very nice people.  When I see something intriguing or funny, I want to share it with Gather friends.  With you.

The comments you have posted on my work have given me more than gratification. I finally had the courage to submit an essay to a national publication. I anticipated a rejection slip, but on June 3^rd, I signed a contract, accepting payment for my essay.  The magazine has publication rights to my essay for ninety days.

I am now a paid freelance writer.  If you've ever wondered whether you make a difference in someone's life, the answer is yes.  Thank you and Happy Gatherversary!
