A Day at the Beach ~ Photo Essay

We had a lovely day at the beach yesterday. The weather was slightly overcast but it was still beautiful there. This is truly my favorite place on earth.

Our 18 month old daughter, Loralei walked on sand for the first time this trip. She wasn't walking on our last beach adventure. She seemed to enjoy herself.

Gabriel was so glad his grandma came along.

Micah was afraid of the ocean so he spent most of his time enjoying the warm sand.

Gideon, on the other hand, loved the water and could have played in or stared at it all day long.

There's nothing like a funky hat to keep you warm at the beach!

The sand was very, very popular.

I feel at home on the beach. Not just any beach... This beach. This is where we plan to buy a house in the next few years. Nothing will make me happier.

Grandma and Gideon stand ready to face the waves... And turn tail and run. Their feet tell a story.

I hope you enjoyed reliving our day at the beach. We certainly enjoyed our time there.

Thank you for a trip down memory lane. We used to do that at Ocean Shores to the north of you in Washington. I live in Tumwater, by Olympia.

Gorgeous photos of your lovely family. My kids said, "Why do they have coats and hats on at the beach?" LOL! We never do that here.
